Invitation To Membership

As president of the Florida Dental Association (FDA), I invite you to join with your colleagues and keep your profession strong. Together, we can protect our practice and patients in this volatile economic environment.

Changes are coming to health care, and you could trust that your profession will fare well, or you can support the FDA and American Dental Association (ADA) to make sure your interests are protected on every front, both legislative and regulatory. There is power in numbers – by increasing our market share, we increase our credibility. The more diverse we become, the better we can serve Florida’s increasingly diverse population.

The FDA is open to licensed dentists and other dental professionals in Florida and represents the profession to governmental, regulatory and third-party entities, auxiliary members of the dental team, and others. When you join the FDA, you also join the ADA and one of Florida’s six component (regional) dental associations. The FDA is the middle tier of what we call the tripartite system.

FDA membership benefits include discounted continuing education (CE) courses, the FDA peer review program, HIPAA compliance and delegable duties information, leadership training, corporate discounts, myriad Internet resources for scientific and practice management information and award-winning publications, including the Journal of the American Dental Association.

If, in addition, you choose to join an affiliate (local) association within your component, you’ll have access to local CE credits and can meet and enjoy camaraderie with other dentists in your area. While the benefits of membership are great, belonging to a group of people who share common interests, goals and life experiences can make a big difference in your day-to-day practice. Your fellow dentists have proven to be a vital support net in hard times.
