FDA IS DEDICATED TO HELPING STUDENTS AND NEW DENTISTS

The Florida Dental Association is committed to helping students and new dental professionals get a solid start in their career.

The FDA Committee on the New Dentist helps practitioners who graduated from dental school within the last 10 years.

The committee is comprised of FDA members who can help new dentists as they begin their careers in Florida. Committee members represent each of the FDA's six component dental associations.

American Student Dental Association and American Dental Association Committee on the New Dentist representatives serve as consultants to the committee.

This section of our Web site provides students and new dentists with critical information they need to get started on their career in dentistry.

If you haven't joined the Florida Dental Association yet, we invite you to become a member of organized dentistry. If you're ready to establish your practice, we've included a Checklist and a list of important phone numbers you'll need for Setting Up Your Practice. If you feel you could benefit from the perspective of an established practitioner or have questions or concerns about dentistry, the Dr. Louis J. Atkins Mentor Program offers new dentists the opportunity to participate in mentoring relationships with FDA members who have volunteered to serve as mentors.
