Senior Dental Health Week

The FDA celebrates Senior Dental Health Week Nov. 7-11. The FDA sponsors the program to improve dental health care among the 18.5 percent of Floridians who are 65 or older.

Each year dentists and their staffs organize and participate in dental-health screenings at nursing homes, senior centers and retirement villages. They give presentations about oral health care, including topics such as oral cancer, periodontal disease, dentures and dental implants.
