The House of Delegates (HOD) is the FDA’s policy making body, it helps to shape the direction of the FDA. The HOD creates policy for the FDA, elects key leadership positions and oversees several councils. The HOD has the responsibility and right to advise the Board of Trustees regarding any matter of importance to the FDA by means of resolutions. The HOD also hears matters brought to it by the Board of Trustees, councils, committees, and various other entities. The House of Delegates meets two twice per year, in January and June.
