The FDA's Search Committee is responsible for recruiting qualified candidates for President-elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Editor, Speaker of the House, and at-large Board of Trustees. The committee evaluates each candidate to ensure they meet the qualifications established by the House of Delegates. Additionally, the committee works to present a diverse and inclusive slate of candidates for the House of Delegates' consideration and voting.

The FDA's House of Delegates will hold key leadership elections at their annual meeting on June 26-27, 2026 at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, FL. The candidates running for each position are listed below.

Potential Special Election for At-large Trustee Vacancies

As part of this year's leadership election, several current FDA at-large trustees have been nominated for other positions within the FDA. Should any of these individuals be elected, their remaining terms would become vacant.

To ensure any resulting vacancies can be filled in a timely manner, the FDA issued an advance call for interested members who may wish to be considered for service as an at-large trustee. The Search Committee is reviewing these applications and the candidates will be announced shortly.
